Shanghai (3), Yangtze River Cruise (3), Xian (2), Beijing (4), Hong Kong (3)
Yangtze River Cruises and tours through the Three Gorges and the Dam from Yichang to Chongqing.
The Mighty Yangtze River originates from the Tibetan Plateau, cleaves China into North and South. Yangtze River flows from west to east, pumping through Chongqing, cutting Wuhan in two, then straddled by Nanjing’s great bridge, and finally emptying into the East China Sea just north of Shanghai. The fertile land in the Yangtze River valley nourished by the River for thousands of years is the centre of Chinese civilization.
The Three Gorges refer to the Qutang Gorge, the Wu Gorge and the Xiling Gorge, starting at Baidicheng (White Emperor Town) of Chongqing in the west and ending at Nanjinguan of Hubei province in the east. The Three Gorges are altogether 193 kilometres (120 miles) long, separated by Daninghe, Ziangxi and Miaonan broad valleys. Cruise through the Three Gorges along the Yangtze River offers dramatic experience, stunning views and numerous historical and cultural relics along the route.

What our clients say...

"James, We are now all back from our trip to China (11-25 Sept) and I wanted to let you know that we all had a fantastic holiday. We were overwhelmed by the history, culture and the scale of the country and could not really have asked for a more complete snapshot of the Country as it passes through the immense period of change. Firstly though, we thank you for all your efforts in handling our booking and our visa processing. Everything was perfect in this respect. Secondly we would thank all the local guides and personnel involved in getting us from place to place. There was not one hiccup throughout the holiday, which with a complex itinerary was most reassuring. This despite a couple of delayed internal flights. Again superb. The itinerary was just what we wanted in terms of the major sites and activities, and nothing left us disappointed in this regard. It was truly a memorable holiday and we are sorting through the hundreds of photos we took during our trip. I would also highlight the fact that being in a small group was a real bonus. Luckily we met very friendly and happy people from both Canada and Ireland, and thoroughly enjoyed their company throughout the holiday. The flexibility of being in such a small group was also helpful. I should not of course overlook the River cruise. This was just amazing (a much over used word, but spot on in this context). We were so glad to see the river before the Dam project is finally complete. It is only when you see the scale of the project that you can appreciate the scope of the changes it will bring. The river cruise was again staffed extremely well with all arrangements being handled efficiently. OK, so we did not get the best weather….. but it did not stop us from doing anything we had planned, so no complaints there. In fact no real complaints at all. So thank you again for an excellent holiday. I will certainly recommend China Tours to anyone who asks about our experience. Regards "
