China eclipse tour and observe the solar eclipse 2009 in China together with the Yangtze River cruise and tours through the Three Gorges and the Dam from Yichang to Chongqing.
The Mighty Yangtze River originates from the Tibetan Plateau, cleaves China into North and South. Yangtze River flows from west to east, pumping through Chongqing, cutting Wuhan in two, then straddled by Nanjing’s great bridge, and finally emptying into the East China Sea just north of Shanghai. The fertile land in the Yangtze River valley nourished by the River for thousands of years is the centre of Chinese civilization.
The Three Gorges refer to the Qutang Gorge, the Wu Gorge and the Xiling Gorge, starting at Baidicheng (White Emperor Town) of Chongqing in the west and ending at Nanjinguan of Hubei province in the east. The Three Gorges are altogether 193 kilometres (120 miles) long, separated by Daninghe, Ziangxi and Miaonan broad valleys. Cruise through the Three Gorges along the Yangtze River offers dramatic experience, stunning views and numerous historical and cultural relics along the route.
China Tours

On Wednesday 22nd July 2009, a total eclipse of the Sun is visible from within a narrow corridor that traverses half of the Earth. The maximum duration of totality reaches 6 min 39 sec. and China will experience the very best visual of the impressive 2009 eclipse with its centre line passing over the Yangtze River valley. For those joining us for the special event, you will have the advantage of being positioned directly beneath the centre line and ultimately will experience the maximum totality of the black out.

Coupled with the event, the itinerary is based on our popular "China Magnficent" tour with the visits to the classical attractions in Shanghai, Beijing, and Xian, and the 3-day cruise along the mighty Yangtze River, which offers a remarkable experience of the most scenic reaches of the river and sails through the spectacular Three Gorges upstream in comfort. You will visit along the route the ancient towns, villages & historical sites.

What our clients say...

"Hello James Just returned from the China Magnificent trip which we booked through your company and that's just what it was Magnificent, from the moment we meet our first tour guide in Beijing, Vivian who really made us feel welcome in China. I didn't know what I expected from China but every day was a different adventure, from Tiananmen Square, the Great Wall (which was my holy grail), the Terracotta Army, to the stunning scenery of Guilin and then onto the citys of Shanghai and Hong Kong it was absolutely stunning. Every thing went like clockwork, all our guides were really very nice and polite, they met us at the airport and checked us in to our hotels and nothing seemed too much trouble for them, I must also mention Michael in Guilin, cracking sense of humor and Mary in Shanghai. All the meals we had were very good, and I must recommend the Mongolian barbecue in Shanghai, very tasty. Anyone who is thinking about going all I can say is just go you will not be disappointed. We have decided to go back in 2010, on the agenda is the Yangtze River cruise and Pandas of course. From a personal point I would like to thank you James, the whole trip was organized by I-mail and phone and everything went to plan. P.S Our last 2 hours in Hong Kong we sat on Kowloon harbour, watched the sun set and Hong Kong island light up, absolutely amazing. "
